First Post!

Hi everyone, and welcome to The Many Adventures of the Homemaking Intern

My name is Shannon, and I am a book wormy, Pride and Prejudice loving, knitting, football watching, baking like crazy, compulsively crafting, head in the clouds gal who has a strong desire to learn and live life to the fullest.

I am a homeschool graduate,
studying web design and herbalism at home

and learning under my sweet Mom

everything

I didn't have time to learn during my high school years...and believe me, there wasn't a ton of time between trying to get through that mountain of school...=)

From honing in my cooking skills,
gardening our third acre hobby farm,
and taking care of chickens

to baking keifer bread, sewing, and learning herbalism together,
Mom and I are going to be covering it all and have fun while doing it!

This blog is going to be a journalism of my journey of learning those skills and so many more that go along with the best,
hardest,
 and most important
career there ever was, is, and ever will be:

being a Homemaker.

My Mom is the best example God could have given me , and I am so thankful and excited to get to learn under her during these years at home!
Also, I am excited to get to share my journey with you all! =D

So please hop on in, follow, and get ready for the many adventure this homemaking intern is going to have.

With love,
Shannon

  3. Hello Shannon, thank you so much for coming and becoming a follower of Prairie Flower Farm..........your first post was so touching and was a breathe of fresh air to read the honor your Momma!!!! I also have 2 daughters at home.....both homeschooled and now we all work together at a Christian College in the bakery. Been a little different for us to leave our farm but my husband also works in the kitchen. Grill Guy the boys call him. He has been a blessing to the guys for sure. God is using us, but stretching us also. We get home at 2:15 so that has been nice.

Just a little about me........so nice to get to know you better.
    Blessings, Linda

  10. Love your blog Shannon! You are embarking on a great journey - and God will bless you for it. We are training now to be the homemakers of tomorrow - we are learning to be the future mothers who make bread with smilie faces cut into the top, who don't mind peanut butter kisses from our toddlers, who can truly manage a home, and who will stop smack dab in the middle of math to go outside in the garden and check out the cool caterpillars on the green beans. I congratulate you my fellow homemaking intern!

    Soli Deo Gloria!
